The analysis of Knowledge by categories is another key aspect of knowledge management in your organization. Observe knowledge and discover the lack of it!

From the Administration Area you can carry out this analysis, using the following sources of information:

        Categories list

        Reported questions list

        Knowledge Dashboard

Categories list

In the list of Categories, click on each category to access the following information:

  1. The number of questions learned by Zap, i.e., how many questions belonging to that category Zap has available to help people in your organization. If a category has no or very few questions, we recommend you:

    1. Increase the number of questions

    2. Unify that category into a more general category

  2. The number of Administrators and Masterminds in that category:

    1. Category administrators: The list of people who have been assigned by your organization as administrators of that category

    2. Masterminds: The list of people who have shown a high level of knowledge in that category during trainings. This is what we call objective knowledge. Objective knowledge is measured with a score from 0 to 5. The default cut-off score is 4

  3. Self-proclaimed Masterminds: This list of people will be available if People Analytics is enabled in your organization. These are the people who have rated themselves with a high level of knowledge in that category. This is what we call subjective knowledge

Note: Enable the "Dynamic Masterminds" feature so that Masterminds automatically become Category administrators. They will be able to help their teammates, by answering their questions through the App. This will significantly increase collaborative learning in your organization through Zapiens.

Note: If you want to change the cut-off mark or you want to enable any of the features we have mentioned, please contact the Customer Care team through by clicking on the "New support ticket" link, which you will find at the top right side of this article.

Reported questions list

Thanks to the users’ individual knowledge you will be able to improve the general knowledge of your organization. Thanks to the collaborative learning facilitated by Zapiens, from the App, people can claim to "disagree" with questions or answers.

In the list of reported questions in the Administration Area you can analyze the most reported categories that will help you improve and increase the questions of those knowledge areas

We recommend that you review this list frequently before the questions are handled by your organization's administrators.

Average score of the categories

By selecting all the trainings, a combined Knowledge Dashboard is generated that includes all the categories and all the segments. This can help you get an overview of the organizational knowledge by categories. If needed, you can also apply filters by segments as explained in the article Group knowledge by segments

In the section "Knowledge" you will find:

  1. Average score, refers to the average score of all categories and it is the sum of the average score of each individual category divided by the number of categories included in the trainings. Calculated on a scale from 0 to 10

  2. Category with the highest score, i.e., the category that is best known

  3. Average score of each category, inside each category you will find a number, it is the average score. This score is the sum of the correct answers of the category divided by the total number of questions of that category included in the trainings

You will be able to analyze the knowledge by categories through the Knowledge Ranking in the Rankings section.
